A Fresh Season in the Roaring Fork Valley

Thanksgiving in the mountains. Winter is officially here.
November 22, 2025

Winter took its time this year. We enjoyed an extended fall, but the lack of snow had all of us watching the forecast more than usual. That changed quickly. Recent storms have blanketed the mountains and town, and it finally feels like winter is here. With Opening Day coming up fast, the valley is buzzing and ready for the season ahead.

This time of year brings a familiar shift. Shops and restaurants reopen. Families return. The days get shorter, and the mountains become the center of daily life again. It is a simple reminder of why so many people choose to be here during the holidays.

If you are coming to Aspen or Snowmass and want updates on conditions, mountain openings, local events, or recommendations, we are always here to help. This valley feels especially special during the holidays, and we love helping you make the most of your time here. You can even see some rentals Jamie has available.

Winter is also an important moment in the real estate cycle. New listings are preparing to launch. Buyers are reconnecting with goals for next year. Sellers are thinking through timing and strategy. If you are curious about values or activity in Aspen, Snowmass, Basalt, or Carbondale, please reach out or visit our website to browse listings. This is a great time to have a conversation and look ahead.

We also want to share a meaningful update. Kristen is stepping into the role of President of the Aspen Board of Realtors. It is an honor and a reminder of the importance of giving back to the real estate community. Leadership and service matter here. We’re so proud of her new role and are excited to see how she leads ABOR into the future and the impacts she’ll make!

As you gather with friends and family this Thanksgiving, we want to say thank you for staying connected with us. We are grateful to be part of your Aspen and Snowmass experience, whether you live here full-time, visit often, or dream of spending more time in the mountains. We hope your holiday season is full of good moments, good people, and maybe a few early ski turns. If you find yourself in the valley this winter, we would love to see you.
